THE
HIGHWAYMEN

post-apocalyptic

The Highwaymen is the story of Avery and Declan Bennett, siblings who are struggling to survive in near-future Chicago in the months after a devastating virus has all but eradicated mankind.

The Highwaymen

Avery Bennett was an elementary school teacher, a paramedic, a Prohibition era barmaid, and a French mercenary. Or at least, she has all their memories.

Avery is one of few who survived a virus that swept the world six months ago. When soldiers are sent to kidnap one of her friends, Avery, her brother, and friends are forced to abandon the relative safety of their fortified community. Hunted by the remnants of a ruthless corporation, they flee into the wilds of urban Chicago, where savage factions rule and their past lives might not be enough to protect them.

Heavily influenced by the personalities of her past lives, Avery must find a way to save her friends and get a handle on her overrun mind before she loses herself entirely.

THE
DIVIDE

military space opera

Millennia ago, the universe stopped expanding. Along the edge lies the Divide, an invisible barrier beyond which lies nothing. Scanners cannot penetrate beyond it, sensors get no readings, and ships that pass through it cannot be contacted and never return.

The Divide

After a “familial disagreement” (which may have involved explosives), disowned prince Cavalon Mercer is exiled to a military post stationed along the Divide — an invisible barrier at the edge of the universe. Cavalon wants nothing more than to lie low and go unnoticed. But, armed with relentless snark and handicapped by an inability for self-preservation, he quickly lands himself in the crosshairs of anti-royalist soldiers.

Veteran war hero Adequin Rake was once part of the most elite special operations squad in human history. Now she runs a ship full of miscreants the military wants to forget. But service is all she’s ever known, so she’s proud to aid mankind, even if it means babysitting unruly soldiers at a glorified prison at the Divide.

Until the universe starts to collapse.

Deserted billions of lightyears from civilization, this motley crew must find a way to escape the Divide as it contracts toward them and — if possible — stop it before the universe collapses completely. No pressure.
