Keepin’ it REAL simple this month with goals.
March started out pretty rough. I got behind after traveling and getting sick—I managed to rally, but lost ~10 days of “maximized” work. But I’m not going to be hard on myself—sometimes, you just need to take a break! 😴
Though I *still* haven’t finished revisions, I’m crazy happy with the changes I’ve been making, and I can’t wait to share them with my editor. Also, I fell back in love with my book again, thank goodness. 💜🚀✨
I got stuck on a scene for a while, but as it turns out, adding an explosion really can fix everything! So I added, like, six! 💥💥💥 Yay! 💥💥💥
But really, one of the thousand things this revision has taught me is to not go easy on your characters. And whatever you think is “not easy” can likely be dialed up A LOT. I’d always thought I was already being hard on my characters, but there’s been a ton of room left to make this bad day of theirs so, so, so much worse, and it’s 👏 not 👏 over 👏 yet 👏 AND I READ A BOOK 🎉 *cue fanfare and praise for the writer who managed to read something for once 🙄🙄* Tell me all about your April goals in the commmentsss please and thank you HAPPY SPRING 🌦🌼🌳
